Inquiry and Design

-Develop curricula, policies, and learning environments based on the HTH design principles (personalization, real-world connection, and common intellectual mission).
-Draw upon students’ diverse backgrounds and learning styles to enhance teaching and learning.
-Conduct inquiry that enriches practice and contributes to the knowledge base of teaching and learning.

Differentiation in the Classroom Follow Through
Differentiation Assignment

The above projects were created for the “Implementing Inclusive Classrooms” course. The idea was to put differentiation into practice in the classroom. I used a photo restoration assignment in Digital Photography and recreated it to meet the needs of three types of learners, practical, analytical, and creative. The implementation was also video taped and reflected upon with a colleague.

Prototype

The "Advanced Project Based Learning" course gave me the opportunity to create a project that went above and beyond my own average expectations. The project was designed to meet the needs of all students by creating personal student connections and value to the piece. I created a book assignment for a multimedia class titled "Through the Lens of a Teenager". The student will drive the final outcome and publication of the book. Use the above linksto see the artist statement, final assignment structure, and a sample prototype I created to share with the students.
